Spend time chatting with your chosen holiday buddy, either through the direct messenger provided or through the groups and forums before sharing any personal details.
Do not share your social media contacts i.e Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, until you are sure the person you are talking to is trust worthy.
Facetime or Skype is a good way to connect, or talking on the phone.
Arrange a day out in a public place to insure you all get along before booking a holiday together.
Respect other peoples point of view, even if you do not agree with their views. Move on.
Do not be rude, racist, antagonistic or aggressive towards other members.
If you feel that a member is being rude, racist, aggressive or antagonistic to you or towards other members, please report them to Holiday mums straight away.
If you see something that makes you feel uncomfortable, unsafe or worried please report this to Holiday mums straight away.
Do not give out your bank details to other members, even if they promise to book a holiday on your behalf.
Do not pay for, or offer to pay for someone’s holiday. Book separately to avoid being taken advantage of.
You may decide to run security checks on your chosen holiday buddy. Holiday mums can not be held responsible for who joins our site. We can only hope that people will be honest and trust worthy, it is not something we can promise.
Keep your child’s personal information and photographs of your children to yourself until you have developed a good, trusting relationship with a holiday buddy.
With instant messaging, member user groups and forums, there are plenty of ways to get to know some of our members.
